Record Ronaldo bid accepted

Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

the problem with signing all these players is having to play them together. assuming raul plays, as he will, a forward line involving villa, kaka, ronaldo and raul has no width whatsoever. none of the four track back - plus all four tend to float into the same left channel. villa will probably adapt to sniffing around the penalty area but it's still a criminal waste of talent ( ... )

to be honest though, real madrid's squad is scarily brimming with talent. casting aside the possibility of signing david villa after splashing out so much on kaka and c.ron, they have:

casillas
marcelo
pepe
[this is where i have a blank]
sergio ramos
robben
lassana diarra
kaka
ronaldo
higuain
van nistelrooy / raul

very scary, but i dont see them developing a system of play still, then again they never really intended to. still gonna depend on individual brilliance to win. and though i agree with the point about pavones not being quite good enough, i think what's gonna affect real more is the fact that there will be a lack of players tracking back.

yes it is mind-(and reality)boggling where the ginormous amounts of quickcash Perez is able to generate from.

that's the masochistic thought. On paper it just gives you the pleasure chills when you read all their magical names, but in practical you are thinking "How the hell will the pieces fit!?"
