Glad I don't feed my cat Purina. I think we bought Fancy Feast a few times, but he didn't seem to experience any negative effects from them -- it's been a while since we last fed him that, anyway.

Thanks for the heads-up!

oh, jeez. D: I'll be sure to pass on the message. << My parents say they are feeding her that, but I'll...see if I can change their minds somehow, because those stories make ME want to vomit.

It's very horrible and I'm glad I don't feed my cats Purina nor Fancy Feast. I use 9Lives. Thanks for sharing.

There is Blue Buffalo or Merrick foods for cats and dogs which is AMAZINGLY healthy, 100% not-artificial stuff and it's what pretty much everyone at Petco feeds their animals.
It's a tiny bit more expensive, but it's more nutrition per kibble so your animals end up eating a lot less (there's less corn filler in it which animals (even cows) can hardly digest) so your bag of food lasts longer. I've been feeding two cats off of a bag of chicken Merrick for like two months now and we still have some.

Anyway, this is scary and I hope your cat starts doing better. ):
