It's understandable to groan at the thought of lines that take 4-6 hours to get through. Luckily, Val isn't traveling with you so you don't ahve to worry about baby forumla. Yes, that can be taken, but it must be inspected. I'd be upset about having my make up thrown away (that stuff is expensive!) but just pack it in your suit case and you'll be fine. I've heard that they've limited, if not refused, to allow carry on lugguage. Pack light! :)

I'm proud of you for realizing that grumbling at the strictness is pretty ignorant (I was shocked to see so many mean spirited people about the delays) vs. people who (like you) are saying - Yes, it SUCKS, but I understand WHY and I thank God FOR the security!

How scary if that plan had played out. :(

Well luckily I don't have makeup. ;-) The rules I just recently read said that we can now take laptops, so I'm hoping I can still bring my reading material with me. It would suck to have nothing to do but watch the same programs over and over for 8 or 9 hours.

I guess at least we're not flying from the UK...I was reading the rules...you can hardly bring anything into the cabin.

Luckily mexico is a little more relaxed thank UK right now.
