[Irene Adler isn't a villain. She's just drawn that way.]

[In fact, right now, she's behaving decidedly un-villain-like. She's in a cafe, reading a book. Granted, the book is on forgery in the early 21st century, but perhaps she simply has eclectic tastes.]

[please feel free to interrupt her.]

*Sits down abruptly, not waiting for Irene to look up from her book and acknowledge his presence*

[doesn't even move her eyes from the sentence she's on]

They have their allure. Forgers are a bit too pedantic for my preference, though.

*gazes around the greasy spoon cafe for a minute. In the short time he's had to take in his surroundings, he's deducted from the nervous glances the waitress keeps shooting at the chef that the two are conducting an ill-concealed affair behind the back of the man's wife, the manageress.*

I wouldn't buy anything from here. The chef has a severe case of dandruff.

And he's having an affair with the waitress. I noticed.

[she glances quickly over her book at Sherlock]

Pedantic? Really, now.
