it's a lot of fun, and a slightly new era for us. There should be plenty of diary stuff on the way.

I'm out of town, so I can't access my books at the moment, but I'm pretty sure Nora Waugh, "The Cut of Women's Clothes" has some patterns from extant bodices of this era with sleeve patterns.

Yes, we have that, and there are sleeves we may adapt in it. I was hoping Book II from North & Tiramini would be out by now, but the distributers have delayed it yet again... Even the V&A don't know why!

I'm just about to attempt this time period for the first time so I'm really looking forward to more on this one.
Also was disappointed the Book II was delayed yet again. Don't they realize we have needs??

I've been nagging them about it for a year! GRR!

I take it that this is the outfit you need my pearls to embellish? I have to say that my lovely necklace does look like the lot that Henrietta Maria is wearing in a couple of portraits. If you want to see it I now have By the Sword Divided on DVD - lots of lovely Cavalier and Roundhead costumes in that...I wonder what Auntie does with things like that when the series is done...By the way if you want a goffick version I have black pearls almost as large and of a similar length...not such good pearls, but pretty spiffy regardless, with sparkly clasp.

Yes, possibly the black one... Maybe white pearls for the black gown and black ones for the silver one?

I never did catch up with By the Sword...
