Front-Lacing Stays

I've just started making a set of front lacing 18th century stays.  I'm adapting the JP Ryan strapless stays pattern, which I have used successfully in the past for a normal back-lacing stay that is really comfortable to wear dancing.

Thanks :) I was teaching a weekend 18th century stays workshop so was working on these in between teaching and to show people what to do. I should get them finished this week.

That's looking great already! Are they going to lace front and back, or just front? I like the pattern a lot - I'm quite tempted to start another set...

Thank you :) They are lacing front and back. I'm on a weight loss program so this method should make sure I fit them for a little while.
