Yellow 1480 Gamurra- dress finished.

On friday night I finished my yellow gamurra. I was hoping to get photos on saturday, but I didn't, and I probably won't get any today either.  Here are some quick ones of the dress hanging up.

I will eventually get some photos of me wearing it, but not sure when I'll get around to doing that.  I might wait till I've made a few more dresses and do a ( Read more... )

Looks great! and as bright as my Tudor kirtle fabric (gotta love bright sometimes).

And tummy flaps are very nice and handy. I just need to adjust mine to cover more of my more ample tummy bulge. Thankfully, aprons cover gaps ok.

Thanks :D And bright is good :) its good to have something bright for a change. Thats the good thing about dyeing your own fabric- you can make it any colour :D I showed my friend and he said I'd be all sunbeamy all round abbey- hehe. Flaps are great sometimes too for a change :D
And yes, aprons do cover a lot- lol. They are also very useful when you get a load of ash from the fire pit blown over you (unless of course you are not wearing it at the time...). I need to make more aprons when I can get hold of the fabric.

That came out so beautifully. I don't normally like yellow, but that shade is so pretty and cheerful. :)

Thank you :) I am thrilled witht he colour it came out. Thats the exciting thing about dyeing I think, you just never know what its going to be like till its washed and dryed.
