An excellent blend of warrior-companionship, humor, and the grim reality of fighting something much stronger than you. I'm impressed that you were able to bring in so many characters, yet still manage to give them each a chance to shine. The comment about Ramirez's supernatural ability to protect his face was hilarious! And the story content... writing action is hard! You do a superb job with it.

Also, I applaud you and Kat for so thoroughly hoodwinking me. Bravo to you both! :D

I was an innocent party to the hoodwinking, I swear. ;-)

Thanks for the comments! I was very nervous about taking on the bookverse for the first time, so I'm glad it seems to have turned out all right. Thank you kindly!

Oh my. Oh, this is lovely!

I love the monsters who can duplicate themselves (though not indefinitely). I love Molly quoting Pinky and the Brain, and the banter over who's prettier, Thomas or Carlos. I love Murph complaining about her insurance and trying desperately to shoot the monsters enough times so that they'll die. I love Ramirez telling Morgan that the safe house kind of sucks. I love Harry's pithy descriptions, which are spot-on. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Morgan sighed and stormed off to menace old ladies and steal Cindy-Lou Who’s Christmas tree.

Morgan = the Grinch. I love it. That's fantastic.

...while street lamps and I have a tentative relationship at best, I felt no need to attack them. They might take it out on me when I needed them most.

What's funny is that in Harry's world, it's entirely possible that he could need street lamps someday. And that the street lamps, tired of being hit, WOULD take it out on him.

I sometimes think that talking to Michael is like a scaled down version of what it would be like ( ... )

Yay! I'm glad you like it. Thank you for the wonderful prompt, it was like a giant puzzle to get all the characters I could in there and I love a challenge. Thank you for the lovely comment! *huggles*

This was definitely a WIN! I loved every little bit of it, everything from the action, to the character interactions, snappy patter, and Harry's sarcastic inner voice.

I agree with every one of gehayi's comments and, yeah, I'd come really close to quoting the whole story back at you if I raved about them all.

(Okay, but I gotta applaud the "My big brother can totally kick your ass" line.)

Wonderful job!

I enjoyed this immensely, oh yes! Thank you for such an entertaining read. I'd start quoting my favorite lines but I don't think I'd be able stop.

That was excellent! My inner Molly laughed at the Pinky and the Brain because she was snarking that in my head seconds before we read it.

Excellent job with Harry's voice/banter and the characterizations all around. Wonderful job.

Thanks! It was my first time taking the book people out for a spin, I usually write TVverse stuff. I'm glad I didn't mess anything up too badly. :-)
