Glad that's over. Gosh, I'm aghast that it took so much work. Not too surprised since the main offices for immigration paperwork are slow as molasses and just as thick.

Glad you had a nice visit, too!

To be fair people do not generally initiate this themselves or voluntarily relinquish PR status. Usually they are being deported at this point and fighting it! I also got the feeling that if we had entered by plane back in 2006 rather than at a tiny logging border crossing, it would have been much easier to figure out what had happened and resolve it rather than making it all 10X more complicated!
