The Boy is off for a four hour bus trip to Dallas, a band competition, and a day at Six Flags (sadly, forecast=rain)Why, yes, it IS 3am local time, thanks for noticing. OTOH I'm not one of the band directors riding with and herding a bus load of tired but wired teenagers for the next fifteen hours

The band did very well and he was recognized for his solo! He came home with no voice to speak of, a new appreciation of roller coasters, and (maybe) a budding interest in someone who has had a crush on him all year.
I'm really not ready for this!
