I know fanfic is serious business for some people, I mean, I've been known to get pissy about things sometimes but I just got linked (for whatever reason) to this irate person reviewing my old Ranma 1/2 fanfic. I wrote this stuff when I was 16. I'm 33 now

People take fanfic way too seriously. It's FANFIC, it's a nerdy little hobby and those of use who read and write it are NERDS of one of the highest possible calibers. The only other way I could be more nerdy is if I played Dungeon and Dragon.

That person really needs to get a life. Fanfic is a way for people to enjoy themsleves and I hate that part of Fandom. Fanfic is a way for people to relax and make a story how they want it. With pairings and the like. I mean if you don't like something fair enough but you don't have to go out of your way in such a way that it can hurt people's feelings in a way that is in no way constructive.
