Just got back from Wisconsin with Katie. Had a great time with her enormous family during Christmas. During our drive back I played around on my laptop and found this choose your own adventure type game that Katie and I played. It's called Choice of Games: Romance and the sequel is Choice of Games: Intrigue. It's basically like... magic/adventure/ ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, this game is so addicting. I thought I'd go for de Mendosa, but my choices ended up leading to the Queen. I'm a bit disappointed in myself, lol.

I'm disappointed that the only way you can get to part two is to hook up with the Queen. I wish I could've had more elopment story with Gabriela de Mendosa. We did one option where we married Carlotta Torres and was the Queen's mistress. I felt totally horrible for Carlotta who was all suffering still in love with us despite our obvious infidelity.

It's totally addictive, isn't it? lol.

Alright, now that I've played it a couple of times, Gabriela seems a bit of an airhead. Needs some time to mature, like wine, lol. The Queen, on the other hand, is rather foxy... I like it when she pursues. ;P

You've seen their other games right? Like Choice of the Dragon, Choice of Broadsides, and Choice of the Vampire? They all look pretty interesting...

I think I'm going to be spending way too much time on these...

I'm super happy right now, mostly because I didn't even know you had a livejournal page and now I have this excellent Wonder Woman story to read over my break, as well as older blog posts of yours to check out. But I'm also happy because of this addictive game you've introduced me to. I spent quite a bit of time last night playing through it over and over.

Personally, I thought that I would probably end up with the queen, but I actually found myself liking Mendosa a bit more. I think it was her heartfelt gift. For some reason I find her somewhat clumsy attempts at courtship to be endearing, as well as her general enthusiasm. She actually reminds me of someone I used to know *sighs wistfully*

Although, what sold me was this exchange at the party:

"This is not how things are done," you say--perhaps teasingly, perhaps reprovingly.

"We can choose to change the way things are done," de Mendosa says, smiling. That's what did it for me. Also, in my mind she's being played by Eliza Dushku, even though Eliza isn't remotely Spanish. : ( ... )
