You know what I didn't need after a long day at work? Coming out to my car and having a pamphlet on the ex-gay movement pushed into my door by people who saw my rainbow pride window sticker and decided I needed to be educated about how to use the lord and savior Jesus Christ to magically make myself not a lesbian anymore ( Read more... )

Ehhh. I'm past it now but it was a shitty thing to find after a long shift at one job while going to the next one, you know? At least I discovered that some internet coding program that analyzes writing thinks I write like Douglas Adams. lol. Score!

I'd be really angry. It makes me realise that Will and I need to have a rainbow pride sticker on our cars, too because people need to realise that just because someone is (happily) married to someone of the opposite gender and has kids does NOT mean they aren't gay or bisexual and COMPLETELY fine with that and doesn't want to be ex ANYTHING. God, I think I'm madder about this than you are!

That would be really cool if you guys did that. One of the good (and bad) aspects of my personality tends to be how I can get over things that are shitty or traumatic or just generally horrible fairly quickly. I'm not someone who dwells a lot but honestly, I hope it's a one time thing. I think it would get to me if whoever did this was frequently at my work and kept leaving those pamphlets on my car.

I'm pretty sure it's a one time asshole though.
