I've read this through twice now, and it was even better the second time through. Having read the sequel (I'm going to leave a comment on that one when I read it through for the second time XD), it's even more fun to pick up on all the threads you set up between Bliss and Maven that you continue to weave through in the sequel. I also liked how you mirrored the ending of the movie, it worked really, really well (and helped emphasize Bliss and Maven mirroring one another even more, which is something you also pick up again in the sequel :D).

Also, there's Eva Destruction/Rosa Sparks! Srsly, with that hot tub scene in the movie (and the little clip in the ending credits) where is the fic??? Thanks for the bone. :)

This inspired me to watch the movie again too, which now seems even more filled with gay than it did before. :D :D :D

You not only got me to like this pairing but you made me so interested in the movie that I just went to blockbuster and rented it. :P

I love them together. Maven might be so much older but...<3 she is so hot. :P I think it must be literal as she does sweat...in like every scene.

How did you decide on Emily or was that a part of the movie I missed?

I'm glad you like my fics enough you rented the movie because the movie really is fabulous and deserves viewing.

I don't like to use unusual names in fic so I just calculated when Maven's birth year would be, 1974, then did a search on the social security administration's site for the most common baby names registered for that year in the state of Texas. Out of all the names for girls listed I liked Emily the best. lol. Boring, yes, but it's the truth.

I always figured that Maven was her first name but...I agree I really don't like that as a first name. :P We can pretend it's her middle name?
