While I was in hospital my broadband bill fell due, and they disconnected me. Luckily I still kept my old dial up account. They've waived the fees but because somebody made a mistake and actually closed down my account, rather than just suspending it as they should have, it's taking some time for them to get me a new ADSL account (it has to be ( Read more... )

I've been in hospital since the 19th November. More or less OK now - 90% recovered (back at work Monday) and will recover fully before Christmas but I am told I was seriously ill for about three days. Sorry for my absence for anybody who noticed.

Long flight - 24 hours in the air, plus an hour and a half on the ground in Hong Kong. I am booked into my hotel and am about to go to sleep, but have already seen a few sights on the way in - so tired I paid ninety pounds for a taxi (large parts of London are apparently closed to cars today causing a rather circuitous route). Yes, I know that is probably an overused and lame subject heading but I am frazzled by last minute getting ready and it is accurate, so...
