This is the quickest it's taken me to read a Cas chapter. This seemed way too easy, so I'm mildly worried. But still oh so grateful that AJ's not about to get his wish at the moment. And I'm hoping this is a start to on the road to alleviating Nik's issues. Have I thanked you lately for the limited amount of Laura in this story?
Yes, the last two have been shorter than usual -- the next one... more average in its size. AJ *has* been thwarted, for the moment -- though it probably would have been better if Nikolas had even brought him up.

The story is definitely turning towards more of Nikolas's baggage than Carly's at this point -- and yeah, Laura...

Well, I was feeling less than charitable towards Nikolas in the middle part, but not at the end. I WAS thinking, sheesh, brat, but then I thought, even underneath all the issues, he IS a 21-year-old man after all. Even Nikolas has to have his moments of immaturity.
All that intensity, all the speeches and impassioned declarations, the promising he would never, ever feel differently about her - she’d told him it was naiveté, that he was just
