Oh wow, the ships are pretty. And the map and charting stuff looks great. I hope you have a wonderful time! It certainly sounds fascinating and challenging. I´m looking forward to the pictures from the sailing trip!
Oh yeah! Well, sort of. The first time she sailed in over a century, they put up her sails and a modern-day destroyer was alongside her as an escort. When Constitution caught the wind, the destroyer had to speed up because they'd totally underestimated her speed. They'd been going, like, 4 knots. She hit 8 knots easy as pie, I believe, and she wasn't even cracking on. XD
She is very beautiful! She may not be the frigate of the world (is she a frigate?) but I am glad she is so well kept. That chart photo so reminds me of Jack. Sorry, I see all these photos in relation to the Aubreyad.
I will be looking forward to many more instalments and will be bookmarking your post for future reference. :D
Constitution is indeed a frigate, and she is beautifully kept! And it's totally cool that you're seeing the photos in relation to the Aubreyad; I'm seeing my LIFE that way right now, after all...

Anyways. Was the Constitution the one you were telling me about that was also pretty much going as fast as modern ships at some point?
