11. There are so many options of “stuff to do” here that it almost becomes like there’s no options. It’s hard to choose, it becomes overwhelming. I've done a lot of "comparison shopping" between the two and the cost of living in SF is essentially comparable to NYC. However the quality of life is much better. I base this from my own observations and those of people I know, as well as its consistent rating on those "best places to live" reports. I've long reconciled myself to the idea that buying is not in my near future. Yeah, I guess living in NY skews your perspective ;)

Moreover I can't wait to get away from this culture of money. Not that it isn't a driving force no matter where you go, but to be away from wall street, the supposed seat of industry and commerce, etc. is very appealing. I'm finding the fact of living adjacent to some of the world's richest people to be rather creepy.
