Oh geeze :( Not the best pick me up to read before bed, but beautifully done. You have a talent for poetic sorrow, it really shines through here. The melancholia of this reminds me of 'The Winged Ones' and affects me in a similar way.
A gift became a curse from the earth around them: that they would have to watch those they loved fall. Gorgeous line here.
I liked the descriptive prose and flow of narration of this. Very nicely done, m'dear :)
Thank you. ^.^ I've been going over the Winged Ones again recently and I might post version 2.0 soon. I don't know how good of an editor I am though... We'll see I guess.
It was the first time that I've writen third person in a while so I wasn't quite sure if it came off as stiff or what. I'm glad you enjoyed it, despite not being the best thing to read before bed. Especially if you've been having fun with slash recently.
Speaking of slash, one of these days I'll watch Superman returns so I know who the hell you're talking about in yours.
Damn work, I want to go read TWO v2.0 but I only have enough time to swoop in and leave comments and then swoop out again. Sigh.
I actually don't read as much slash as it seems like I do. Sometimes I write way more than I read. I even started a Margaret Atwood novel the other day, oh my!
It's a decently entertaining movie, there were a lot of things I liked about it, a few I didn't. It was so pretty on the IMAX screen though. *happy sigh*
