Highlights the constant extreme shifts of power that define their "relationship", one always the prisoner of the other, alternately being tortured and psychologically abused by the other, which seems to force a connection in the end. It's badass soldier girl against manipulative, obsessive cylon in a kinky back-and-forth love/hate power play that ultimately leads them exactly where they're destined to be.
Notes: As someone who usually hates the very concept of "shipping" I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I ship these two. I totally do.
