Sorry I didn't get this up yesterday. As I said earlier I was running low on inspiration this week.
Well one thing that was suggested in my
quest for inspiration was the cat in Haggard's castle so here he is after a long
hiatus! Image Challenge

Quote Challenge
I am what I am.
The quote can be used with or without punctuation, but please do not edit or add to it in any other way. The quote is from the movie and the book when the cat is telling the Molly about how to get to the Red Bull's lair:
Molly's breath came like rope, fretting against her harsh throat. "Damn you, why won't you help me?" she cried. "Why must you always speak in riddles?"
One eye opened slowly, green and gold as sunlight in the woods. The cat said, "I am what I am. I would tell you what you want to know if I could, for you have been kind to me. But I am a cat, and no cat anywhere ever gave anyone a straight answer."
His last few words drowsed away into a deep regular purr, and he was asleep with one eye open. Molly held him on her lap and stroked him, and he purred in his sleep, but he did not speak again.
Theme Challenge
I decided to go somewhere a little different this week. I wandered around other icontest communities a while back and saw they were doing "Virtue verses Vices" and thought that might be interesting, so here's the first match up.
This week's theme: Pride (vanity) vs. Humility (humbleness)
Pick one of the two and feature it. But which will you choose, the vice or the virtue?
Taken from
wikipedia In Christianity, pride (or vanity or arrogance) is the essentially competitive and excessive belief in one's own abilities that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God, or the worth which God sees in others. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is listed as one of the seven deadly sins, as superbia.
In Christianity, humility, or meekness, is seen as a virtue, encompassing three skills:
yielding one's rights and possessions to God,earning the right to be heard rather than demanding a hearing, and responding properly to anger when others violate one's personal rights. In essence, humility is obviously not thinking highly of yourself nor is it thinking lowly of yourself. For both of these are pride. Humility is simply not thinking of yourself at all. Amongst the benefits described in the Bible are honour, wisdom, eternal life, unity, rewards in heaven and others.
There are only three rules for these icons:
You must use an image from the 1982 animated film The Last Unicorn The icon must somehow emphasize either the virtue or the vice. If you're confused by anything, or have any questions, just ask. My contact info can be found in the community's info page.Other notes: Any text is acceptable, though quotes from The Last Unicorn, either the movie or the novel, are preferable. Brushes, borders, etc. are perfectly fine. Also, it is perfectly acceptable for the text in the icon convey the chosen theme. Of course,
all the usual rules also apply (you can't show your icon to anyone until after the winners have been announced, icons must be up to lj's standards, no animation, etc.).
