Challenge 156

Jun 27, 2009 12:18

I know things have gotten a little more off track lately and Challenge 155's polls just went up, but I thought I would go ahead and post the next challenge to try and keep things moving.

I was searching and searching for an idea (hey when you get into the fourth year for an icon contest community the ideas are a little harder to find/not duplicate) when I happened upon a list of random themes I had saved. I used a random number generator and at first was puzzled by the results I got. I was talking with my husband about it and he starts spitting out all sorts of way it could be used.

Theme Challenge

Blinded by ______

Fill in the blank and make some icons! There are only three rules for these icons:

  1. You must use an image from the 1982 animated film The Last Unicorn
  2. The icon must somehow emphasize the theme.
  3. If you're confused by anything, or have any questions, just ask. My contact info can be found in the community's info page.
Other notes: Any text is acceptable, though quotes from The Last Unicorn, either the movie or the novel, are preferable. Brushes, borders, etc. are perfectly fine. Also, it is perfectly acceptable for the text and/or brushes etc. in the icon convey the theme. Of course, all the usual rules also apply (you can't show your icon to anyone until after the winners have been announced, icons must be up to lj's standards, no animation, etc.).

Mood Theme Challenge
This week's themes:
pessimistic | irate

Definitions:
pessimistic (from www.dictionary.com) - adjective pertaining to or characterized by pessimism; gloomy: a pessimistic outlook.

irate (from www.dictionary.com) - adjective (1.) angry; enraged: an irate customer. (2.) arising from or characterized by anger: an irate letter to the editor.

  2. The icon must somehow convey the mood it is meant to represent. Only one mood per icon.
  3. You must use an image from the 1982 animated film The Last Unicorn. Use of multiple images is acceptable, so long as they're from the 1982 animated film The Last Unicorn.
  4. If you're confused by anything, or have any questions, just ask. My contact info can be found in the community's info page.

Other notes: Any text is acceptable, though quotes from The Last Unicorn, either the movie or the novel, are preferable. Brushes, borders, etc. are perfectly fine.
