I watched this last night and couldn't help comparing it to City of Angels. I know quite a few people who have listed this Nicolas Cage title as a favorite film, seagal35 among them, and I'm hoping they'll find this little comparison... readable, at least.

yup, it's part of the saturday haul. it's one of the two non-english-language cannes winners i got, though the title of the second one escapes me right now...

maganda ang acting! kaso baka nakakaantok kasi ambaaaagal. saka puro salita nang salita (ang daldal nung girl sa dulo, ever)

ahaha if it wasn't for you, i wouldn't have remembered the annoying ending! ayun, itsugi na rin natin yun... isama natin sa pagtitipon ng mga angel sa beach.

I saw this movie in Film100 class in college. I don't really remember it well...but I remember the whispering scene 'cause that's my favorite part.

film100 class was the BEST. but i wish paglinaoan let us watch this too T_T

whispering scene? the one where damiel was with the guy who got in a motorcycle accident?

I took Film 100 under Prof. Piano. Not really sure about the details of the whispering scene though. Basta yung may tao sa likod at bumubulong sa isang actor. Di ko rin maalala kung si Damiel yun. I just liked that scene kasi di mo malaman kung conscience, or ghost, or alter-ego yung bumubulong.

And when movie critics said "City of Angels" was based on "Wings of Desire," I felt so proud to have watched WoD...even if I hadn't been paying much attention, hehe :P
