Yup, I am the Lesley girl in college_help. Everyone here is going crazy with happiness about the money. I was at the meeting when it was announced and I thought our president was about to start dancing for joy.

I keep trying to imagine how the administrators reacted when they found out and I picture people in suits screaming and running around the room, and bursting out crying, and hugging each other, and having a really stiff drink...they must be practically incoherent (in a basically good way). How do you even get your *brain* around tripling your endowment overnight? Crazy talk. Pretty awesome, though. Any idea what they're going to do with it?

I think the mental picture you have is pretty much accurate. I mean Lesley is very "huggy" anyway, but there was definitely more hugs than normal yesterday and today.

As for what they are going to do with it...they have no IDEA. I don't even think they can comprehend whats happening right now. It's like you said, its hard to believe that your endowment tripled overnight. I did hear them say something about more scholarships in honor of Mr. Doble, but that is about it.
