Books

I'm planning to buy new books soon, so can anyone recommend some good books?! Maybe something like Nicholas Spark's books, or something about mystery, ghosts, haunted hauses etc.? Or maybe something like "Julian's House"...I'm open for a few things, as long as it's interesting and not too much science fiction. ;)

And what is it about? I'm not so sure about trilogies, because I tend to get bored very easily, and trilogy sounds so much like LOTR. *lol* ;)

HAHA.
it's about this girl named Lyra from a world that's really similar to ours - but it's not. it's like a parallel universe. it's pretty much about her and this other boy, who first appears in the second book, and their quest against evil.. ? I read it about two years ago, I'm sorry. >__>!

it's REALLY GOOD. and it's not boring, trust me, I could not put it down, ehehehe.

For scary-mystery Salem's Lot by Stephen King
For mystery False Memory by Dean Koontz
And for just a really good book that has a lot of good slashy stuff in it Cry To Heaven by Anne Rice

*looks at "The Stand" that she has never finished* But I'll try to read "Salem's Lot", especially, because so many people keep saying that it's good. :)
