We got a sufficient sum to pay off both our first and second mortgages and to pay off the rest of my car, with plenty left to get us a new roof and to remodel the kitchen

A lot has happened in the Shire household in the past few months, and I can't remember what you knew about. Dad broke his hip in September and came to live with Mom and me in mid-October while he went through rehab. He's back home now, living independently again at age 90-1/2. Mom broke her shoulder in November (!) and is about to start p.t. And we had to get a new roof as well, which was done a few weeks ago. Pippin wasn't too upset with all the noise, which surprised me.

Not too much different here the last few months for me so far...hoping big changes coming in the not too distant future, but for now, just trying to get through the winter! (never my favorite part of the year!) :D
I made the mistake of answering on my tablet. *duh* I KNOW it won't let me stay logged in, but I always forget. But in my defense I had a cat on my lap and she didn't want to move...

Not too awful much happening here, mostly health woes. Been busybusy, but not really anything newsworthy.
