The DH's new job! Hooray!

This summer seems exceptionally hot and humid. We're about to get nine days of off-and-on rain, but I don't know if that'll cool things down or not.

Sorry you had such a struggle posting your chapter (which I'm about to read). Maybe next time post it as Part I and Part II to bypass the LJ silliness!

Congrats all around! I hope your son got off before it got really bad and all are okee tonight.

Still dealing w/atrial flutter at least till Aug 9th or so - monitor showed no data (argh), and while I'm going to repeat it in the coming week, the week after, when I'd see my cardiologist, he's out, so Aug 9th it is. Argh. But really, other than the frustrations of that (and missing chocolate/caffeine), I'm trucking along all right. Need to get back into my fanfic as soon as I can, but right now I'm just trying to wrestle all my ofic back into line.

It WAS horribly hot yesterday. Just the last in a long line of uber-hot days. Our weatherman says it hasn't been this hot since 2011.

I hope your son was able to get off before the brutal heat set in. They've been building a house behind ours and yesterday the worker bees were there past 5 p.m., booming their music and getting the job done. I feel really bad for them having to work in that heat.
