It's good to hear you're feeling better! *hugs* Exploded egg all over the kitchen though - you have my heartfelt sympathies. This event tops the exploded spinach on the ceiling I managed in my parent's kitchen many years back... *ahem *. Yay to having a well-working sewer line again, though, and to doing laundry at home! ***\O/***
I had completely forgotten that I had put eggs on to boil about the time the plumbers arrived. Then there was the smell of the sewer. It was really stinky.
Then I heard "kapow!" in the kitchen; it wasn't until the second explosion that I remembered! Sheesh! Egg everywhere!
Hope you are soon fully recovered and the kitchen wasn't too hard to clean.
I'm lucky that my plumbing insurance covers everything. Within the last six months they have pressure hosed the drains replaced a tap and cleared a minor blockage.
I wish ours had been covered. We've always been pleased with our home warranty up until about this past year. But now it seems like there are all these exceptions.
Isn't he darling? BTW, have you seen TH EE yet? There's a perfectly adorable scene of wee Bilbo and his mother Belladonna, enjoying Gandalf's fireworks!
Those eggs really were a shock--mostly that I'd left something on the stove unattended! It could have been much worse!

You win.

Lesson learned: if you allow eggs to boil dry, they will blow up eventually!

Oh gosh, what a shock to find (and smell) eggs exploding in the house. Glad nothing worse happened!
Pippin's been sick for a few days, too, so maybe you and she can snuggle up together and kiss each other better.
