Gosh, both fics are great! I particularly like the comparison of Bilbo and Elrond as foster-fathers.

The first time that occurred to me was when I was writing a drabble about Bilbo worrying about Frodo after he arrived in Rivendell injured, and when Elrond told him he knew how it felt--Bilbo realized he really did.
