I like the chance to be there and meet people and wait on customers. And the grocery discount is valuable. But hour after hour of stocking the shelves, deep cleaning and filling ice cream cases takes a toll on my back and legs.

My previous boss knew this, and usually only scheduled me for about five hours at a time; I had mentioned this to the new one, but he's clearly chosen to ignore it.
