Christmas just past!

Whew! Finally a chance to sit down and recap my holiday!

First of all: the lovely yuletide story I received! It's in the C.S. Lewis fandom, set in the last book of his Space trilogy, That Hideous Strength. It gives the backstory for Dr. Grace Ironwood, one of the inhabitants of the Fisher-King's household. The story is Still In My Pilgrimage, and ( Read more... )

Merry Christmas, Barbara!! Sounds lovely and so nice of you to invite your pastor to eat with you.

I told my hubby about your cool USB pen and he's very intrigued, so do please keep us posted as to how that works, if you can figure it out.

I'd comment more, but we're about to leave to see New Moon - which we didn't have time to go see yesterday because we took dinner to my parents AND got a phone call from our missionary son!! WOOHOO!!

Well, I just figured he didn't need to be alone on Christmas!

I'm intrigued too-- but also frustrated! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Sounds like you had a very lovely Christmas, and such wonderful gifts! I do hope your pastor's wife recovers. It must be so hard on their family.

It was a very nice Christmas!

Her health has been poor since before we moved here, and she has been hospitalized many times. They have a little boy and a little girl, very sweet children. Fortunately for the family, her parents live in OKC, so they can often help with the child care. But it's very hard on them, and I think, especially hard on our pastor, since he is often alone.
