This is such a lovely story; I can imagine that it really did happen this way. And I love how it ended. - It is time for Hildifons Took to go home." - That last line was perfect.

Holy cow.

The whole fic was good, but this epilogue just blew the rest to pieces.

I'll review each chapter that I've missed on SoA when I have the time.

In the meantime, I'm going to have to see if (with your permission, of course), I can work this volume, or something rather like it, in, very subtly, to the library at Great Smials (if I ever manage to get them into my Kiraverse).

Thank you very much! I had this Epilogue in mind from the very beginning--it was, in fact partially written shortly after the Prologue was (though the final version had a number of differences). It only seemed fitting to me that it be Pippin, the quintessential Took of his generation, to be the one to bear Hildifons (the quintessentail Took of *his* generation) back to the Shire.

And you most certainly do have my permission. I would be honored.
