More of "To Sleep, Perchance to Dream"

I had hoped to get all of the rest of the story posted today, but I had all sorts of snags--the power was out for a couple of hours, and when it came back, the internet was out too. Then when I got back to it, everything was going very slowly ( Read more... )

I'm still enjoying this! The bit with using a reed to administer intravenous medication's plausible, too.

Although there are other ways of getting that particular drug into a person. ;)

I'm glad you found it plausible! I thought Ariel did a great job with the cliffhanger I handed her. None of us knew till we got our chapter what the person ahead of us was going to do, and none of us knew when we posted what the next person would do with our loose ends!

I imagine there are--it would have been a hoot to have *you* take part in this, LOL!

I find it amazing how you can write on where another person stopped. I did that on online games, but there "my" character at least was always mine and I didn't bother too much about whatever was going on with the other characters.

I've never done RPGs. But we had a blast with this. It was so funny to see all the different plot twists that happened. I know that Lindelea had no idea what that powder was when Targon gave it to Pippin! And neither did Slightly Tookish, when Pippin put it in his drink! And then I had to figure out what it was when my turn came!

That's the good thing, I guess. You can bring in new elements and let somebody else see what they actually are and mean to the characters.

We did that in school once. Each of us wrote a sentence and then we passed on our sheets of paper, adding a sentences each. The most remarkable stories came out. I wish we had them written down somewhere.

BTW: How are you getting on with the Troubles?

That is the good thing--but you never knew what someone else would do with the elements you brought in--it might end up quite different from what you'd imagine.

Our first PippinHealer story was much like what you said--everyone just stuck sentences or paragraphs at the end.

I've gone through Chapter 1 already (good job by the way--I looked carefully, but you gave me little enough to fix!) and hoped to get Chapter 2 done before I sent it on to you. Look for it in the morning.
