Well, the blue was inevitable, since I pieced it from recycled blue jeans, LOL! I must have had a dozen pairs I had put aside for mending and never got around to it, and since I currently *have* enough jeans, I dismantled them, then cut them into 8x10 squares which I serged together to cut the fronts, back and collar from. The sleeves were actually two of the legs. Then I found lots of remnants in various shades of blue that I already had stashed. I was especially pleased with the blue lace that I used on the collar, leftover from a dress I'd made for my d-i-l!
The picture panels were simple, done by fusing freezer paper on the back of some light blue fabric, choosing images from my computer, and then printing them out on the fabric.
There's really no need to covet--an expert quilter like yourself could *easily* make one!
Thank you very much! It was so much fun to make, and it's even more fun to wear something that reflects my interests and sometimes sparks conversations!
