FORGIVE THE QUESTION DUMP speaksthe_truthMarch 21 2011, 05:01:02 UTC
OKAY SO
The Patients. What's the screening process like? Do you need to be in peak physical and mental health before they pick you? (I imagine someone with weird underlying traumas would either bug out really early or else... lose it in the middle of putting together a dream and... horrible things ensue.)
Also does being in this "total control" mind state make them really sensitive to outside stimuli? Like they can't go live in normal areas anymore because the constant onslaught of sensory information would overwhelm them? If so, does whatever company (or clinic, or university) that manages NINET give them special housing? Do certain Patients all live together, with or without the Doctors? Do attendants have to care for them to make sure they're doing everything to keep their physical health up? (Which would be kind of ironically funny, if that's the normal way of things and yet Andie's the one making sure Ethan is eating. ;)
Never apologize for question dumping!dreamer_doctorMarch 21 2011, 06:03:29 UTC
Re: Patient screening-It's mental health they examine most closely, but they do prefer people in good health. However, it's nothing they'll discriminate on; you can have heart problems, be disabled in some manner, etc. and as long as you pass, you pass. But you cannot be in bad mental health, because they don't want to make you worse than you are. Little things like stress problems or mild anxiety disorder are workable; things like MPD are not
