MURAKAMI SHINGO'S HERO TYPES
Talkative Hero - Shibutani Subaru
I felt helped by him when we were filming together
This year I think Murakami talked a lot. The filming time of our drama "Ariigatou Okan" was very long, and he talked alot throughout the whole course of the filming. That was really important to help set the mood of the drama, and because of that, I felt that I was able to blend into the role well. As such, I felt helped by him.
Flexible hero - Nishikido Ryo
He used my yoga mat!
He always does flex exercises before the concerts. During that time, I brought my own yoga mat from home (laughs). I didn't use it much but once in a blue moon, in the moments when I actually wanted to use it, Murakami happened to be using it (laughs).
Positive hero - Maruyama Ryuuhei
After he talked to me, he lightened my mood
He helped me a lot by giving me mental support. There was a period of time when I was very busy, and during the rehearsals, I felt very down. But he said to me, it’s okay for everyone to have such days. His casual remark made my load lighter and I felt better afterwards.
Hero with many connections - Yasuda Shota
He has many acquaintances
I feel that every where I go, I bump into his acquaintances. Be it in my private life or when I'm filming, I feel like I constantly bump into people who know Murakami personally. After meeting once, it feels like everyone has become friends. I think it's great because it increases my genres (of friends).*
*I think he means that his social circle has been widened.
Beautiful Body Hero - Ohkura Tadayoshi
After every concert he does push-ups?!
He was able to keep a beautiful body that wasn’t excessively thin or fat but it seems that he himself wanted to become a little fatter though. What shocked me the most was that immediately after the concert, he began doing multiple push-ups and tried to test his own limits. How much energy does Murakami kun have?
Soccer Hero - Murakami Shingo (commenting on himself)
I played a lot of soccer this year
I grew to like soccer again this year and I had matches with my juniors and members of the staff, and I think it was an enjoyable year for soccer. The only thing I regret was that I wasn't called as a representative for Japan. I shall work hard to be chosen next time.
Murakami Hero - Yokoyama Yu
And he grew a beard too!
Murakami Hero refers simply to Murakami Shingo himself. He grew a beard. The reason for him growing a beard was that he received a compliment about it during a radio show and he took it very seriously. So he decided since then, not to shave at all. Fans of Murakami kun, please praise this "Murakami hero".
Extras (Murakami commenting on his first appearance on POPOLO)
This was taken during a musical in Kyoto. The caption next to my picture in that edition of POPOLO said "next to dancing, he likes udon". What a fool I was to say such things (laughs)!
MARUYAMA'S HERO TYPES
Mood maker hero - Shibutani Subaru
The person who hypes up every concert.
Even though he's generally high, before every concert, he's the one responsible for raising everyone's moods. Besides, he's often saying things that don't make sense. When I see such a side of Maru, I feel that it's very interesting. Then, my mood just gets higher and higher till the concert actually starts.
Hero for lifting everyone's moods - Nishikido Ryo
I always laugh at his songs
During the Kumamoto concert, Maru sang to Yasu's guitar accompaniment and it was really interesting. For example, even though the tune was clearly blues-style, he made it into a energetic song he named "the beetles song". Everyone laughed a lot because of that.
Irresponsible hero - Maruyama Ryuuhei (commenting on himself)
Even though I make mistakes, I leave them alone?!
I think I'm really a musekinin (irresponsible) hero. I always leave my jokes hanging. Even if I'm the one who starts something and it fails, I leave it hanging. The reason is that I don't see such things as failures. Instead, I think that other people are silently listening to my comments.
Dressing room hero - Yasuda Shota
His brightness saves me.
He always helps people in the dark. In concerts he's like that too, but even in normal occasions, he's always very cheerful and hyped up, and he always includes the staff members around us. I always felt saved by his cheerfulness.
Bass Hero - Ohkura Tadayoshi
The live concert was fun!
He played the bass a lot this year but made a lot of mistakes too. Every time he makes a mistake, he always has an apologetic expression on his face so it's very obvious. But he looks very compatible with the bass. So it was really fun to be in the same musical group as him.
Hero who messes around - Murakami Shingo
He always made mistakes
On all the variety shows we did this year, Maru made so many slips / misses that I was shocked. In the dressing room, he's always like the king of laughter (like someone who's always joking and laughing), so during the actual filming time, he made slips. Sometimes I feel jealous of his cheerfulness and his easy-going nature.
Maruyama hero - Yokoyama Yu
He has more and more hobbies it seems
Maruyama hero refers simply to Maruyama himself. He likes to take pictures and write poetry and I feel that he has many hobbies as of lately. He managed to retain the side of him that is interesting, as well as his sense of humor. But at the same time, the depth of his character has increased, so I feel that he's done a good job this year by increasing in depth.
Extras (Maru commenting on his first appearance on POPOLO):
I'm so happy that I looked so good in this picture. That was a period of time when I wasn’t used to people taking pictures of me. But it so happened that I looked good in this picture so I was really pleased.
