I just saw in the news headlines that author Frank McCourt is gravely ill and not expected to survive. His is one of the most luminous voices I have ever "heard" from the written page. Peace, Frank, and may the angels lead you gently home.

I'm heartbroken by this too. He is a "must have" author for me; Angela's Ashes would come to my desert island if I was banished to one. He was writing his first novel, I believe, and I feel like we've lost something wonderful.

Yup, another luminary gone. :C This has been one saaaad month of big losses.

BTW, now, in an ironic turn, I have YOUR umbrella. o_O And your earrings. I'll have to pop up and see the building in more detail as an excuse. :)

Did you see the last 5 yet? We went as a fam on Friday. Interesting... Seems they may have given themselves more to address in DH, but who knows.

Did I? Oh, yeah--I took the earrings off at the restaurant because they were driving me batsh*t, then left them on the table. I was so interested in getting in the car and getting the door shut before I washed downstream, that I s'pose I just dumped them on the dash and forgot them
