day 1
within 6 hours of starting the trip to hawaii, i have lost both my droid (which i had filled with the entire last season of lost and half a season of SG-1 to watch on the plane) and my jacket. i pout angrily through take-off and part of the flight, but feel mostly excited by the time we are on the road to kihei, where our beach condo awaits

Sounds like you had an awesome trip! I am insanely jealous. I have been wanting to go somewhere tropical for a year now. How come snorkeling creeps you out? I would have shit my pants if I saw a shark in the water!!

i have some funny issues about touching things/being touched by things, and snorkeling close to shore brought all those things very close. it was actually a lot easier with 30 feet of water between me and the bottom. :)
