It looks like LJ ate some of your HTML at the beginning, and I think you mean "bout" where you have "bought" but those were the only errors I noticed.

It may have been short, but the tension was palpable, and Ratchet's ambivalence about the association being over comes through clearly. I look forward to the next chapter! (I hope it includes some morning-after awkwardness between Ratchet and Scavenger, because I'd love to see that.)

The next chapter is forthcoming, but I'm afraid that it doesn't have any morning-after awkwardness. D: There is some in a oneshot I wrote, however, that's sort of a fanfic of my own fanfic, in that it takes place in-between chapters 9 and 10, but isn't truly a part of a story. I wrote it for Neurquadic who drew me fanart, so assuming she agrees to it, I hope to have it posted soon.

Other than that, I hope you continue to enjoy the story! And, again, thank you, as always.

And thank you! :O You always have the most wonderful things to say! I did worry about the length but--as you can see--not quite enough to actually change it. XD Possibly because I'm a bad person, but mostly because it just needed to be short. And I think you might be right, that it does reflect the ending--that makes a lot of sense, now that I think about it. (Mostly it was short because I didn't have much else to say, but I didn't want to add anything else in. >_>)

I got the feeling that they all thought this was it, and even though I know it's not finished, but I still got the impression that it was.

Yay! This is the aim of the chapter in question--I wanted things to feel finished, because in some ways it is an end to part of the story--things are, unarguably, changing

On one hand, I'm deeply sorry. I got all sniffly and teary-eyed when I wrote this scene too.

On the other hand, though? That's exactly what I was aiming for, and I'm so happy that someone got it, and that it had the desired effect, and :DDD all around! (Also, I'm a bad person.)
