Well done! I enjoyed the story and thought you did a good job of characterizing everyone and bringing Hinata and Jirobou together in a believable way. The insects and their explanation was good as well.
And they ended up the way I like to end my own stories - with the idea of them getting together, but leaving the rest to the reader.
I actually mostly ended the story with the romance still budding mostly because I really needed to just end the thing... Although, really, I am fond of leaving people with the possibility that romance will occur, and strong hints. It's almost--hopeful, in a way.
I'm glad I did okay with the insects. I really struggled to make them work in a way that was moderately realistic, and they're not the sort of thing I usually mess with in my writing. (I just write too much romance and introspection...)
It was also good to hear that you approve of my characterization! They're pretty disparate people, so it was a challenge to turn them around to a romantic point of view. (Well, especially Hinata. Jirobou's a teenage guy...)
