Re: Strange Dreams

Ms Chase convinced me to take a few days off; am using the time to start researching Greg's strange dreams. I'm curious as to if it may be related to the nexus in some way. I think it must be, as nexus exposure seems to be the only common thread in the people who are having these dreams ( Read more... )

Here are the people who spoke to me about the dreams so far:

Jean-Paul
Djehuty
Novak
Thomas
Derek
Leela
Hippolyta
Jonathan Crane
Gabriel

One theme seems to be, uh. The desert, I think. Many of us seem to be cowboys. And our relationships with each other have been altered ... it's hard to pin down when I think about it.

Key's predictions come in the form of migraines and vague impressions, unfortunately. So far we've gathered that there's an encroaching darkness, one that hungers; and that fire is involved, because Key kept smelling smoke during one of the bad spells, which I'm taking as relevant and not, say, a sign of brain damage. (Though she WAS given an MRI, I believe.)

...... thanks, Daniel. You're amazing.

What I've read so far has mentioned the idea of the nexus/multiverse having layers, as well as dimensions...it's possible, possible that this is a manifestation of that...

Do you think any of them would be willing to talk to me about their dreams, as much as they can?

Hungering darkness...fire...*making notes* Okay.

*sheepish smile* I'm just glad to have something useful to do. Translating what a bunch of people said that everybody's already seen happen was...kind of pointless.

Layers? It's already the nexus/multiverse ... but, actually, that makes sense. Because people talk about infinite possibilites and iterations, yeah, and yet if that's the case you'd think there'd be more -- well, more everything. And there's also a measure of purpose that accompanies events and entities in the nexus/multiverse, like when you fall out of the basement ceiling because we're talking about you. *grins*

I'm sure most of them'll be fine with that.

Frustrating, huh? You get pretty frowny and intense when you're in the mode.

Layers, like...look, don't quote me on any of this, because I'm only halfway through the translations and I really can't be sure of my information until I have...but the basic idea behind it, from what I know as of right now seems to be that there are layers of the multiverse we just don't have the capacity to understand, let alone actually tap into. And there are layers with...how can I put this...limited access? Not just limited, either, but varied...what's a physical plane today might be a single telepathic signal tomorrow.

It would be really, really great if I could find out more about the specifics of the dreams, and see what the constants and variables are...

Very frustrating. But this! This is amazing. A lot of the texts Ms Chase has on the nexus itself are proving really useful. I prefer not to ask her where she gets them from, though.
