These people have clearly never been in a health crisis of any sort. They don't know that I had to run to the pharmacy on a Sunday,to hopefully procure medicines my husband needed, and we only got by the grace of God. Or whatever

I don't think they've ever had a relative suffering from cancer, who was sent home when he was stabilized enough to walk either, which is all you can get out of the emergency room. People who say you can go to the emergency room to get treatment and then not pay have never considered what would happen if you had a long term thing. That kind of idea would work fine if you broke your leg, but not if you had cancer.
If we could have the money that's been spent on wars in the Middle East that weren't any of our concern, we could have spent that on health care.
The amount of Speaking From Privilege I've been seeing in the health insurance reform debate has left me alternately flabbergasted or raging with flames on the sides of my face.
What is so evil about structuring our society so that anyone who needs medical care can get it? Why are we even talking about this?

I suspect just the money the government expends on "administrative costs" would do the job.
