Alison Moorer has an amazing voice. And once I got home and realized that was who she had been talking about and listening to, I tried to get sisabet to go see her. "She's still there. Why she was drinking at the bar with Deb (my friend). Go see her." She just looked at me with a lot of anger.

Alison Moorer was drinking at the bar.... Darn. Every once in a while folks in my neighborhood can see Sean Penn, Huey Lewis, Bonnie Raitt, or (in the olden days) Sharon Stone, but you are right there with all the country and alt country and retro-alt pastiche bluegrass artistes. Does Lucinda Williams ever show up on a semi-formal basis? Because sometimes Bonnie Raitt will show up at the Sweetwater, a smallish club, very old-fashioned, in Mill Valley. No billing, sometimes she brings some friends and they just play.
