Hello dear Yuletide author!
I'm so glad we like at least one of these canons! I greatly look forward to the fic you'll write. I hope you have a lot of fun while writing it, and that my suggestions are helpful - if you find they're more confusing than inspiring, please feel free to ignore everything but my little list of nopes (few of which I think ( Read more... )

OMG, how did I not know that Rómeó és Júlia (Színház) existed before now? Thank you for introducing this to me. Excuse me while I go troll YouTube.

I only learned about it quite recently too =D Luckily, there's plenty of goodies on Youtube. There is actually also some activity on Tumblr, if you check the tag for the play (with ´ included) or some of the actors! Here's a resource post a friend of mine compiled, for instance

ps. Színház is Hungarian for theater, we only use that to disambiguate it from the Romeo et Juliette main tag on AO3, so the full name is just Rómeó és Júlia

/returns to trolling Youtube, because the Operettszínház ignores that a lot of their stuff has been put on YT and way too much of it is wonderful/

I had to comment to shout about the Threepenny Opera at you. I got to see the Berliner Ensemble production when it came to BAM for like... a week. I loved it. It was the first show I served on as production dramaturg, and therefore I know too much and have too many feelings about it. XD

Oohhh, I am jealous! both of the opportunity and your job, sounds great fun :) I watched it twice, like I said, but I could def. stand to see it again. Wish they released DVD's from the BE!

(Ps. Where/What is BAM? Googling gives no clear answer)

Oh, sorry. XD Brooklyn Academy of Music. They host a lot of theatre productions, films, music, dance troupes... you name it, they've probably had it. The Berliner Ensemble production was there in 2011, and I got a ticket as a birthday gift to myself. I went to grad school in New York -- out on Long Island, not in the city, but it was only about an hour on the train.
