If you want to talk about unoriginality, we can reopen the debate concerning whether or not Blizzard ripped off Games Workshop. Since there's no concrete evidence to support this hypothesis, however, such a debate can end only in a massive flamewar and, if it goes on long enough, heresy against the God-Emperor of Mankind, the answer to which must be delivered from the barrel of a Commissar's bolt pistol.

I think Blizzard's dev team has gleefully admitted that they're all, to the last man, Warhammer 40k fanboys.

That Fel Reaver in World of Warcraft, looming over the seared plains of Hellfire Peninsula, looks awfully familiar~

Given that I believe Andy Chambers is now on said Dev Team, I think that's a given... (And then there's the bonus scene you got for completing WC3 in hard mode...)

One rumour I've heard was that the original Warcraft was actually done as a Warhammer game, and got repackaged when Games Workshop refused to grant a license.

Bet that's a decision they're regretting today if it is true. I don't even want to think about how much cash they'd be raking in now if the 'Craft series had been 'Hammer all along...
