Oh wow, the Uther one is scary! And the painting you did of Napoleon!Arthur is just wonderful; It's really striking and I love the texture of your work.

You see why I didn't want to post the Uther piece all by itself!
People will think I'm a weirdo ... which I sorta am, lol.
But yeah, the history behind Goya's original piece is actually really interesting and I thought it fit really well with Uther's background.

With the Arthur one, I was concerned about getting a similar feel of the oil painting with watercolors. But I'm glad it worked out!

Napoleon!Arthur is kind of unbelievable, and creepy Uther is creepy (but kind of cool).

Uther as Saturn is perfect. it's so PERFECT. i'm loving on his maniacal expression and the flesh in his hands so. hard. and the one of Arthur is just gorgeous! i kind of want to twirl my fingers along his horse's curls. ♥

Well done! I know it was hard posting that Uther one, but I'm glad you did. Not all art has to be flowers and ponies and boys kissing. This piece did it's job! Like the original, it's supposed to freak folks out. It should be hard to look at. The first time I saw it, I had to look away for a sec! LOL! But like the glutton for punishment I am, I looked back. lol! Well done! Way to take a chance!

Thanks for taking that second look! :D
I can tell you from experience that if you look at it everyday it won't even shock you anymore!
(I may look at it everyday ... I don't have a good place to store it yet. I do not want oil pastels on my watercolors!)
