That's as may be - but they still refused to sell me a ticket. It wasn't as if it was a more expensive ticket. They just refused point blank and told me to go to west. This was about four years ago.
I forget whether that was when the company was temporarily nationalised (and stuff ran on time) or the previous franchise.
I note that a) I have to travel on the stated route and b) I can travel on any permitted route. They don't go out their to say which the permitted ones are.
Via Maidstone and St Rood, not so much.
Via Ashford and Folkestone, not so much.
But how ridiculous would a ticket bought for East to Deal be if the first stage was "Walk to West"
Almost as ridiculous as Portaloo getting to East from Tunbridge Wells.
