The King's Mile is a stretch of the city that begins at the High Street - although it might not be called the High Street at that point - moves on past two parts of Debenhams and the site of the first film screening in the city, crosses and incorporates Sun Street and then shoots down to the King's School. Marks & Sparks isn't in the High Street, though

In terms of postcodes, no, but it is on the main drag (St George's Street). What I think of as the High Street includes St George's Street, Parade, High Street and St Peter's Street, the whole pedestrianised bit from Okabashi's to Superdrug.

M&S still feel threatened by the market, which isn't on the High Street in terms of postcode either, but on St George's St.

Whitefriars is all of what is bad about the contemporary high street, although I can buy the occasional item there, use Boots and Tesco.
