there's a saying, that my mom would say. "out of the mouths of babes..." usually she would say this in reference to some blunt indiscretion a child blurted out that would call it as they see it, which would be far more accurate than could get past any adult mouth, with its social filters in place. i.e., children can see truth through bullshit

Yea, I felt I had to tell my 6 year old about this shooting this morning, because I was afraid some 8 year old would do it for her. I kept it general, and said it happened somewhere really far away, but that people were very upset.

I don't even know whether SFUSD does lockdown drills. I suppose I should know, huh?
