When she woke up next morning, Hermione deemed she was still having a nightmare. The reality sunk like a rock inside her ocean of emotions whilst she buried her face in her hands. She had been so stupid for kissing Malfoy back in such a vulnerable moment.
The truth was that loneliness was pursing her in every corner, and she had no ways to fight it. Ron was dating Lavender and Harry was dating Ginny. Of course they proclaimed it was okay for her to hang out with them and share the normal activities. But there were still those moments were she felt someone was missing by her side, to kiss her when she felt alone between two couples, to study with her when the library was full.
And just when the veracity of her solitude was swirling in her mind when she was supposed to be studying, he showed up. He pierced her eyes and stated he wanted her. He kissed like she had never been kissed before and turned her world upside down. Having someone saying they care for her and piercing stunning grey eyes into hers while she was feeling alone and helpless, didn’t help much to regain her sanity.
And he had asked to be there. Again. And things might happen. Again. She didn’t know if she could handle that twirl of sensations once more. And now she even got the chance to think about it, to ponder the right decision. It shouldn’t, but it felt like the most difficult decision of her life. For what she could tell, he could be making fun of her or something. Call his Slytherin friends mock her in front of his entire crew.
She decided that she should go get something to it and then she would think about it. Having these kinds of thoughts without anything your stomach was prejudicial.

He was staring at her from his table. Without being careful not to be seen. Just staring like she was his prey. Fortunately the owls arrived to deliver some Easter eggs. She didn’t know if she could blush much more, and Harry and Ron were already exchanging weird glances between them.
She received three eggs: one from her parents and two from her friends. As she was unwrapping her eggs to taste their delicious chocolate, a third egg fell on her lap.
She had never received such a big egg; it was almost the same size of her torso! And the drawings and symbols were so stylish and shiny; it looked like a very expensive egg.
Suddenly she chocked on some piece of air. She looked across the Great Hall and there he was. Staring. Gazing. Waiting for something. Probably for her reaction.
She liked the gesture. She loved it actually. It was the biggest egg she had ever received and she wasn’t going to share it with anyone. Not even with Harry and Ron who were now making questions she didn’t want to answer.
She lifted from her chair without even saying where she was going. She didn’t want to provoke a fight between them and Malfoy. They would say it was poisoned and blow it up. It would never be a smart decision. But she would eat it, but not with them. Not with anyone besides with her self. She would drown in her loneliness and surrender to gluttony.
She only forgot that someone was watching her for a long time, and knew exactly where she was going.

It surprised her when he entered the empty classroom about two minutes after her.
“Are you stalking me?” she asked while eating her first piece of expensive chocolate. It even tasted better than the others.
He smiled. “I knew you would comeback here.” He sat next to her “Can I?”
“Only if you say why you bought it.”
“To feed you. You seemed pale and skinny yesterday.” He grabbed a piece of egg without hesitation.
“You’re not my mother.” But she was feeling happy for having someone to share her egg. Even if it was Malfoy. I could have shared it Harry or Ron but…I wanted to ask him some questions.
“Did someone hex your brain or something? Because you were never nice to me.”
“Why are you complaining?”
“I’m not complaining. I just want to know the truth. Is this egg poisoned or something?”
He choked. “Merlin, Granger! Do you think I would eat my own poisonous egg just to convince you?”
She laughed at his shocked expression. “Okay then.”
They continued to eat the egg in silence. Sometimes she couldn’t even bare too look at him, but he was glued to her face. He didn’t remove his eyes for a second before they finished the egg.
“We ate it like pigs!” He exclaimed.
“Are you calling me a pig?” She teased.
“No.” Her heart began to race when he approached her once again and kissed her. She knew this was irrational but it seemed the right thing to do. This moment with him was so peaceful and real, he sensed he was being so human to her.
He grabbed her waist and pushed her closer to him, hugging her. She could feel his warm body sharing waves of heat with her. There were some butterflies in her stomach when he tangled his hand on her hair and played with her curls. There was a soft moan when his finger caressed her neck and a small smile when he parted from her and bit her lower lip.
His eyes were shining and she was sure hers’ were too. And somehow she knew this had to be a secret. The reason why she was happy had to be kept a secret.
And that transformed it into something much more exciting. There were two people playing that game, and she knew both of them were going to win.
